As Hispanic Heritage Month begins across the United States, let us pray that all Americans
will appreciate and respect the rich culture, history, and diversity of our Latino community.
Let us lift up the members of our Sister Parish, Las Anonas de Santa Cruz in El Salvador.
May their years of struggle against oppression lead to liberation and peace with justice.
Let us pray for a healing of the divisions in our country regarding the coronavirus.
May the wars and conflicts among us be resolved by a commitment to the common good.
As our Children’s Liturgy of the Word and RCIA resume,
let us lift up those who are being formed in the faith,
as well as their families, sponsors, and teachers. May all be filled with wisdom from above.
In this Season of Creation, let us give thanks for the beauty of autumn.
As cool nights and changing leaves remind us of our swiftly passing days,
may we give our Creator endless praise.
Let us lift up all who have died, especially those who were taken suddenly.
May they find themselves in the arms of God,
and may those who grieve their loss know the peace that surpasses understanding.
