First Sunday of Advent Petitions – Nov. 27-28
In this Advent season of longing for the Light of the world may we
be like Joseph in our quiet joy and faithful service to others…
God’s Word exhorts us to be vigilant. May we not let down our
guard by excessive feasting or needless anxiety. . . .
May we respond to the loving promptings of our hearts regarding
the homeless, the broken, needy people and refugees…
May we work to end violence in family settings, communities of
faith and workplaces, especially at this time of year…
Black History month is ending. May we continue to learn about
the history of racism and to respond with honesty and love…
We have remembered in prayer our deceased loved ones this
past month. Let us remember those who have recently died and
those in danger of death. . .
