8 th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Wonderful Counselor, this last Sunday of Black History Month we honor
Henriette Delille and all the crucial work she has done for Black Catholics and
women of color. Help us all remember that Black history is American history.
Way of Life, as we look toward our Lenten journey show us how to be more
tolerant and loving of others. Guide us as we begin this Lenten season to be
more giving of ourselves to the poor and the marginalized.
Gracious God, ease the heavy burdens of those who are mentally or physically
sick. Let them take comfort in knowing they are never truly alone for they are in
your care.
Almighty Mediator, tensions between Ukraine and Russia have escalated so
greatly. We pray for a peaceful resolution that benefits all nations .
High Priest, we have lost so many to police brutality and many more are still
dying. We ask for your swift justice for those who have died and peace for those
who mourn the loss of their loved ones.
