Oh Lamb of God: as we embark on our Lenten journey, may we be willing
to give of ourselves freely, in remembrance of your suffering.
Oh Great Deliverer: as we fast during this Lenten season and this Black
History Month, help us to be mindful of the suffering of black and brown
peoples, as well as the plight of immigrants.
Oh Divine Fount of Wisdom: we implore you to move the hearts and minds
of our elected officials to think of the poor, the disenfranchised, and
especially people of color.
Oh Merciful Creator: as we assist others, we ask for your help in having the
humility to do so, not for the acknowledgement or acclaim, but because we
wish to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters.
Oh Holy Messiah: we ask you to help the elderly and sick, especially those
suffering due to the COVID pandemic.
Oh Everlasting Savior: please place many blessings, on those who have
died, especially the many black and brown trans lives that have been lost to
violence during the last year.
