Let us go rejoicing, bringing God’s peace
to a world shattered by violence and prejudice,
hastening the day when there will be
no harm or ruin on all God’s holy mountain.
Let us entrust our hearts to Jesus, our Eucharistic Lord.
As we experience God’s gifts through the Real Presence,
may we know the peace the world cannot give.
Let us pray and work for peace:
in our world and in our nation,
on our streets and on our playgrounds,
in our families and in our hearts.
Let us hold in prayer and care all those who are suffering
the darkness of acute or chronic pain,
dementia, depression, anxiety, or addiction.
May the Spirit of the Lord rest upon them and their loved ones.
Let us entrust to God’s merciful embrace
all who have died, and those who grieve their loss.
May they rejoice in the peace that surpasses all understanding.
